Basilica of Svat\u00e1 Hora<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe origins of Svat\u00e1 Hora date back to the 13th to 15th centuries. In the 17th century, the Italian architect Carlo Lurago created a design under which the Jesuits built the Marian sanctuary. In the 18th century, the most significant architect of that time, Kry\u0161tof Dientzenhofer, contributed to the completion of the structure.\n\nIn 1861, the Redemptorists (Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer) took over the administration of Svat\u00e1 Hora, serving there until 1950. In 1903, they repaired the church and covered its oldest section, which was still undecorated, with new figurative and ornamental stucco decoration. After extensive renovation, they requested Pope Pius X to grant the title of \"basilica\" to the pilgrimage church, a title by which the Pope exceptionally elevates or honors the most famous temples. The Great Organ at Svat\u00e1 Hora<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\nThe National Cultural Monument Svat\u00e1 Hora in P\u0159\u00edbram, Central Bohemia, is rightfully called a Marian Baroque pearl in the heart of Bohemia. It was built in the mid-17th century according to the plans of the renowned Italian architect Carlo Lurago. Those who visit the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary at Svat\u00e1 Hora during a mass or concert will have the opportunity to hear the sound of the unique new organ, constructed between 2009 and 2018.<\/span>\n\nBuilding the organ was a challenging task, as the space for the organ in the basilica is small and intricate. Therefore, the builder, Vladim\u00edr \u0160lajch, had to choose various unconventional solutions. Nevertheless, he managed to create a unique instrument that is even more valuable because it was mainly funded by voluntary donations.\nThe project was initiated by the civic association Matice Svatohorsk\u00e1, which collected voluntary contributions for ten years. The city of P\u0159\u00edbram also contributed financially. The lengthy process involved not only financing but primarily the construction itself.\nVladim\u00edr \u0160lajch aimed to integrate the organ acoustically and aesthetically into the basilica's space as seamlessly as possible. As a result, it now appears as if the organ has always been part of the basilica. The organ case has an unusually narrow base and continues with a wide bridge that houses the largest parts of the instrument, culminating in a crowning mechanism at the top. Due to the small and confined space of the basilica, some parts of the organ are also placed in side niches that were created in the 1940s.\n\nPipes fill every available space in the choir. In the side spaces, there are pedal pipes. When listening to the organ, its sound surrounds you due to this intricate arrangement. The organ has three manuals and thirty-three speaking registers. Many of the registers were intentionally chosen to allow for performances in various colors at softer dynamics. In addition to standard registers, you can hear a unique feature of Svat\u00e1 Hora \u2013 two \"Zimbelstern\" (cymbal stars). These are registers that, when pulled, set two beautiful golden stars in motion, mirroring the star of the main altar. Behind each star are small bells that ring as they move, sounding like golden stars falling straight from the sky. Bazilika Svat\u00e1 Hora Po\u010d\u00e1tky Svat\u00e9 Hory se datuj\u00ed mezi 13. a\u017e 15. stolet\u00ed. V 17. stolet\u00ed vla\u0161sk\u00fd architekt Carlo Lurago vytvo\u0159il projekt, podle kter\u00e9ho jezuit\u00e9 nechali postavit mari\u00e1nskou svatyni. Ve stolet\u00ed 18. se na dostavb\u00e1ch pod\u00edlel nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed tehdej\u0161\u00ed architekt Kry\u0161tof Dientzenhofer. V roce 1861 dostali Svatou Horu do spr\u00e1vy redemptorist\u00e9 (Kongregace Nejsv\u011bt\u011bj\u0161\u00edho Vykupitele), kte\u0159\u00ed zde p\u016fsobili do roku 1950. V roce 1903 dali kostel opravit a jeho nejstar\u0161\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st, dosud bez v\u00fdzdob, pokr\u00fdt novu figur\u00e1ln\u00ed i ornament\u00e1ln\u00ed \u0161tukovou dekorac\u00ed. P\u0159esto se mu poda\u0159ilo vybudovat unik\u00e1tn\u00ed n\u00e1stroj, kter\u00fd je o to cenn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed, \u017ee vznikl p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm d\u00edky p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvk\u016fm od dobrovoln\u00fdch d\u00e1rc\u016f. Inici\u00e1tor projektu, ob\u010dansk\u00e9 sdru\u017een\u00ed Matice Svatohorsk\u00e1, vyb\u00edralo dobrovoln\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvky deset let. Proto te\u010f vypadaj\u00ed, jakoby v bazilice byly odjak\u017eiva. Maj\u00ed kr\u00e1snou b\u00edlou pozlacenou sk\u0159\u00ed\u0148, kter\u00e1 byla sice nov\u011b vytvo\u0159ena, p\u0159esto dokonale lad\u00ed s celkov\u00fdm charakterem baziliky. Z\u00e1padn\u00ed st\u011bna baziliky je \u010dlen\u011bna do t\u0159\u00ed samostatn\u00fdch parti\u00ed, kter\u00e9 tvo\u0159\u00ed vysok\u00e1 okna um\u00edst\u011bn\u00e1 v r\u016fzn\u00fdch v\u00fd\u0161k\u00e1ch. Sk\u0159\u00ed\u0148 varhan m\u00e1 nezvykle \u00fazk\u00fd sokl, pokra\u010duje \u0161irok\u00fdm mostem, na kter\u00e9m jsou um\u00edst\u011bn\u00e9 nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed \u010d\u00e1sti n\u00e1stroje. Naho\u0159e je pak zakon\u010dena korunn\u00edm strojem. A proto\u017ee prostor baziliky je mal\u00fd a st\u00edsn\u011bn\u00fd, jsou \u010d\u00e1sti varhan um\u00edst\u011bny i v bo\u010dn\u00edch v\u00fdklenc\u00edch, kter\u00e9 byly ve 40. letech prora\u017eeny do p\u016fdn\u00edch prostor. P\u00ed\u0161\u0165aly vypl\u0148uj\u00ed ka\u017ed\u00e9 voln\u00e9 m\u00edsto k\u016fru. V bo\u010dn\u00edch p\u016fdn\u00edch prostor\u00e1ch jsou ped\u00e1lov\u00e9 p\u00ed\u0161\u0165aly. P\u0159i poslechu varhan v\u00e1s d\u00edky t\u00e9to \u010dlenitosti jejich zvuk doslova obklop\u00ed. Varhany maj\u00ed t\u0159i manu\u00e1ly a t\u0159iat\u0159icet zn\u011bj\u00edc\u00edch rejst\u0159\u00edk\u016f. Mnoho rejst\u0159\u00edk\u016f bylo c\u00edlen\u011b zvoleno proto, aby bylo mo\u017en\u00e9 hr\u00e1t v r\u016fzn\u00fdch barv\u00e1ch v ti\u0161\u0161\u00ed dynamice.
